Overview:
You have installed and administered Windows Server 2012. Windows Server has many advanced settings and services such as for DNS, DHCP, domains, forests and AD RMS. By configuring these advanced settings, you can manage the network infrastructure efficiently. In this course, you will configure advanced services within Windows Server 2012.

This course is designed for IT professionals who have System Administration experience, who can implement, manage, and maintain a Windows Server (Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2012) infrastructure at the enterprise level, and who want to gain the skills and knowledge required to carry out advanced management and provisioning of services within the Windows Server 2012 environment.
This course is also for students who are seeking the Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification and who want to prepare for Exam 70-412: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services.
Prerequisites:
To ensure your success in this course, you should have experience working in a Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, or 2012 enterprise environment, including the implementation, management, and configuration of Active Directory and networking infrastructures.
You should also know how to install, configure, and administer Windows Server 2012. To gain this prerequisite knowledge, you can take the following Logical Operations courses:

Course-specific Technical Requirements
For this course, you will need one computer for each student and one for the instructor. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware configurations:
- Processor -1.4 GHz 64-bit processor capable of running Hyper-V for hosting 64-bit VMs
- Hard Disk – 500 GB or above
- RAM – 8 GB
- Network Adapter – compatible with Windows Server 2012
- DVD-ROM drive
- Keyboard and mouse (or other pointing device)
- 1024 x 768 resolution monitor recommended
- Projection system to display the instructor’s computer screen
- Microsoft® Server 2012 Standard EditionNote: As the Standard edition of Windows Server 2012 contains only two VM licenses, you need to procure three more VM licenses to run the five VMs on the main system for this course. Also, you need to procure six Standard edition licenses for setting up the course environment. For the instructor for the second physical system, you need procure an additional physical system required for an activity in Lesson 10.
