    Overview:

    You are familiar with creating web pages and now you will enhance the web pages by means of adding advanced functions such as navigational controls, media elements, and forms. Also, it is essential to ensure that your websites are compatible with various modern day display devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and smartphones. In this course, you will create fluid CSS layouts, implement mobile integration techniques, and share files over a server to work in a collaborative manner. All this will ensure that you develop a website that helps retain user interest by means of providing an engaging user experience across multiple display devices.

    This course covers the Adobe Web Communication using Dreamweaver CS6 objectives to help students prepare for the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exam. This course is also designed to cover the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exam objectives.

    Course Objectives:

    Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to develop interactive and engaging websites that are compatible with multiple display devices.

    Target Student:

    This course is designed for web designers, web developers, and graphic artists who would like to expand on their existing Dreamweaver knowledge and skills. The advanced concepts and skills covered inAdobe® Dreamweaver® CS6: Part 2 will enable a designer to create interactive web pages and websites efficiently.

    Prerequisites:

    To successfully complete this course, you should have some experience using Dreamweaver. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking the Logical Operations course: Adobe® Dreamweaver® CS6: Part 1.

    Course-specific Technical Requirements

    Hardware

    For this course, you will need one computer for each student and one for the instructor. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware configurations:

    • 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
    • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
    • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
    • CD-ROM drive
    • Keyboard and mouse (or other pointing device)
    • 1024 x 768 resolution monitor recommended
    • Network cards and cabling for local network access
    • Internet access (contact your local network administrator)
    • Printer (optional) or an installed printer driver
    • Projection system to display the instructor’s computer screen
    • Audio speakers

    Software

    • Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 3 or Windows® 7 (Windows 7 recommended)
